It's the 4th of Chinese New Year. Traditionally, it's the day for people to welcome the money god back in their houses. Blooming flowers also represent growth and prosperity, a great day to see blooms indeed!
After retirement, my dad has become quite a digital photography fanatic. It's been a while since dad was this serious with photography, the last time was probably when I was a toddler, when film photography was the norm. I remember using my dad's old camera in high school for my film photography classes. The camera was so old school that I had to wind the film back by hand after I'm done shooting. Later on, my dad passed the camera on to my cousin, at that time I didn't feel much, but now I wish I had kept it.
After a few years of practice and classes, digital photography has become the norm for dad. He has all the serious lenses and gears. Whenever I'm in Taiwan, I would always ask him to go on a shooting (photo) date with me. Photography has become one of our mutual interests. Dad took us to the botanical garden today to chase some greens and to get away from all the crowds in downtown Taipei. Strolling, chatting and shooting, what a relaxing way to spend a day!
